Successful Artists-in-Residence Program Expands
Twin Towers is excited to announce that two more students have joined the Artists-in-Residence Program this fall. Artists-in-Residence began last year as a partnership with University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) to offer students the opportunity to exchange their housing costs for musical performances. The students designed and delivered monthly concerts for residents, offering the ability to fine tune their talents and performance skills, while residents enjoyed high-quality musical performances by budding professionals every month.
The first year of the partnership was so successful two more students have joined the program this fall, meet them here:
An Eau Claire, Wisconsin native, Angie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Music degree in Saxophone Performance. She is currently attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music for a Master's degree in Jazz Studies where she is a graduate assistant for the Bearcat Bands. She is excited to be an Artist-in-Residence at Twin Towers Senior Living Community. Angie has an avid interest in composing her own music and, in addition to saxophone, plays flute, clarinet, and piano.
Anna is currently attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music for a Master’s degree in Harp Performance. She received an Artist Diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music in 2015 and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto in 2012. From 2015-2016, Anna was a recipient of the Curtis Institute of Music Artist Year Fellowship, which involves a year of national service dedicated to bringing music to underserved communities in Philadelphia. Anna is honored and excited to be one of the current Artists-in-Residence at Twin Towers Senior Living Community.
