Twin Lakes Honored for Contributing to Leadership Success

The Montgomery Citizens’ Leadership Academy (MCLA) honored Twin Lakes and other community partners for their participation and support of the Academy over the past ten years. MCLA offers a powerful hands-on, total immersion experience into contemporary issues that are important to the citizens of Montgomery.  Participants are given real-world experience where they identify an issue, get educated on how to address it, and then join a team of fellow participants to apply that knowledge.

Twin Lakes serves as a host site for the group and Residents and Associates have graduated from the program. Twin Lakes Executive Director Jim Mayer is a 2014 graduate from the MCLA and was honored by this recognition.

"The Twin Lakes community and the City of Montgomery enjoy a strong relationship and the residents of Twin Lakes are truly engaged in city events, committees and commissions. This engagement not only adds quality of living for Twin Lakes residents but also adds value to the city... a true win-win!"

Approximately 250 people have graduated from the academy over the 10 years.
