Teepa Snow Presents: Using What is Preserved to Compensate and Optimize Performance

If you haven't had the privilege of seeing dementia care expert Teepa Snow present, now is your chance. Teepa Snow is an occupational therapist  with over 33 years of experience in geriatric care.

She is one of America’s leading educators on dementia, and combines her education, research, experience, and close work with various dementia specialist to develop, improve and optimize programs for people living with dementia. Her exceptional presentation skills help caregivers and family members understand the challenges of living with dementia.   

In her presentation Teepa will:

  • Describe the typical progression of the disease of dementia as it relates to behavior and lost skills, and also remaining abilities, strengths, and interests.
  • Discuss interaction skills and supports that would be matched to changes in abilities to provide care that works.
  • Recognize the role the physical environment plays in increasing or reducing stress and distress.
