Trillium at Twin Lakes Celebrates Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting
A new chapter in independent living at Twin Lakes began Oct. 13 as residents, team members, community partners and guests gathered for the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Trillium at Twin Lakes.
The celebration marked the completion of 30 new independent lifestyle residences, along with new spaces and amenities designed to enhance life throughout the Twin Lakes community.
Local 12’s Bob Herzog served as emcee for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and Local 12 covered the event. Representatives from the Cincinnati Business Courier and Montgomery Neighbors Magazine also attended, helping share the Trillium story with the greater Cincinnati community.
Throughout the afternoon, guests toured a Trillium residence, explored the new spaces and enjoyed a reception celebrating the opening.
For Lisa Zimmers, executive director of Twin Lakes, the day represented much more than the opening of a new neighborhood.
“Life Enriching Communities really helps support older adults to live with confidence and thrive in community. Trillium is another neighborhood that helps our residents live their best lives.”
That philosophy extends beyond the residences themselves. Zimmers emphasized that while having a beautiful place to call home is important, the relationships residents build, the connections they make and the opportunities they have to continue growing are at the heart of life at Twin Lakes.
The Rev. Markus Wegenast, senior pastor at Church of the Saviour, United Methodist, offered a blessing of the new spaces.
With its opening, Trillium creates more opportunities for older adults to enjoy independent living while building friendships, staying active and feeling connected to the Twin Lakes community.
