A Dining Experience
A Wesley Hospice patient and his wife would often go out to dinner prior to his decline. The couple expressed how they missed being able to do this. Wesley Hospice utilized Hearts for Hospice funds to accommodate them on an evening out at one of their favorite restaurants.
A Shopping Trip
A Wesley Hospice patient was worried that she didn’t have something appropriate to wear for her funeral and she unfortunately could not afford to purchase anything. Hearts for Hospice supported her by helping her pick out a dress she felt beautiful in and purchasing it.
Family Travel Support
A son lived miles away from his dad, who was declining. The son wanted to be with his dad during his last stages of life but couldn’t afford the travel cost. Hearts for Hospice was able to make it possible for the son to be with his dad by purchasing gas cards that the son used for his trip.
